Testimonials
Returning to my childhood home was emotional and delightful. The conversion of the farm buildings to the cottage is absolutely amazing. The accommodation is first class, both beautiful and the contents of the interior are well thought out and of good quality with attention to detail second to none.
Quality accommodation of 5 star plus rating.

Very lucky to have all three grown up kids and their partners with us to stay at Ladywash Cottage in the Peak District at New Year. What an amazing time in an amazing place. We’ve rented dozens of holiday homes with the family over the years but this was something else. Easily the best appointed place we’ve ever stayed; there is literally nothing that hasn’t been thought about carefully. The bedrooms are luxurious as are the showers – you could literally swing a sheep in the shower – enormous! We cooked a slap-up meal on New Year’s Eve (well, strictly speaking, the kids cooked!) and we were constantly impressed by how thoughtfully comprehensive the kitchen was equipped. All this after we had been welcomed with a basket of local goodies and essentials when we arrived.
We were looking forward to getting away from it all in the Peaks and of course, there are some perfect walks around the farm. One day we took off for a good five or six mile loop around the valley, finishing at sunset above the farm and it couldn’t have been more perfect. At night, the pubs in Eyam were warm and welcoming. Chatsworth is just down the road, as are Castleton, Mam Tor and Edale, all great places to visit.
Apparently, John and Cheryl, the owners, have just converted the building and it shows; everything is pristine and considered – it almost felt wrong to swing that sheep in the shower.
The perfect stay. Can’t recommend it enough.

We loved our stay at Lady wash cottage! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how attentive and thoughtful the hosts were. They thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and even decorated the home for Christmas. The interior space itself worked perfectly for our two families with all bedrooms being en-suite and a huge dining area. Everything was clean, well-organized, and designed with guests in mind. We felt very well cared for throughout our stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for an stress-free, well-hosted place that comfortably accommodates multiple families. Finally, it’s worth mentioning the location. Situated just outside the historic village of Eyam with numerous walking trails on its doorstep and truely beautiful views of the Peak District.
